asked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) what was the total cost of providing the medical genetics centre at Cardiff;

(2) what was his Department's contribution to the medical genetics centre at Cardiff.

The total capital cost of providing the medical genetics centre at Cardiff is £1,168,000, of which the Welsh Office contribution is £868,000.
