Mr. Gordon Brown

asked the Paymaster General if he will publish the terms of reference of the study being carried out by the University of Buckingham into workfare.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

This independent study is being carried out by the employment research centre of the University of Buckingham, which describes it as a feasibility study of a community workfare system in the United Kingdom.

asked the Paymaster General if he will place in the Library all working papers available from the study into workfare now being completed by the University of Buckingham.
