§ Mr. Kenneth Clarke[pursuant to his reply,7 April 1987, c.154]: My Department's planned expenditure on research and development for 1987–88 is shown in table A and that of the Manpower Services Commission in table B.
All research and development work conducted by my Department and the Manpower Services Commission is designed to assist with the achievement of the publicly stated objectives of the Department of Employment group.
