HC Deb 07 April 1987 vol 114 cc157-9W
Mr. Sheerman

asked the Paymaster General which area manpower boards have no members who are from ethnic minorities; what is the proportion of ethnic minorities in the general population in the area they serve; and how these figures have changed over the last two years.

Mr. Lee

Up-to-date information on the proportion of ethnic minorities in the general population in the areas served by area manpower boards is not available. The rest of the information requested is as follows. Currently 29 of the 58 boards have no member representing ethnic minorities as compared with 36 of the 55 boards in 1985.
