§ Mrs. CurrieThe table shows, separately for males arid females, in descending order of magnitude, the 20 major causes of death in the United Kingdom in 1985. The list of causes is that used in compiling statistics for the Chief Medical Officer's annual report "On the State of the Public Health for the year 1985".
