The Attorney-GeneralTwelve cases of multiple applications for British Telecom shares were investigated by the police and considered by the Director of Public Prosecutions. Criminal proceedings for attempting to obtain British Telecom shares by deception, were instituted in seven cases against a total of 10 defendants. These cases were tried at Bow street magistrates court between 11 March and 29 September 1986. All 10 defendants (Roy Corbin, Warwick Goodman, Edward Hems, Paul Fogg, Dennis Williamson, Brian West, Brian Taub, Roy Conway, Stephen Conway and Michael Collins) were convicted.
