HL Deb 01 April 1987 vol 486 c681WA
The Earl of Kimberley

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will move the start of British Summer Time from the end of March to the end of February.

The Earl of Caithness

The Summer Time Order 1986, passed without opposition, provides for the present date in March which is common to all member states of the European Community and is backed by a Community directive. The Government have no plans to change the date.
