§ 15. Mr. Terry Lewisasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what plans he has to improve the marketing of British food.
§ Mr. GummerThe Government established Food From Britain in 1983 to improve the marketing of British food. We are providing some £14 million to FFB during the five years to 1987–88 and financial commitments have now 253W been made by the food and agricultural industries. Provided their contributions reach at least £3 million in 1988–89, further Government funds will be available until 1990–91. FFB has made an encouraging start, and I believe that it will continue to build on its initial successes.
