§ Mr. Michael SpicerI refer my hon. Friend to the answer that I gave the hon. Member for Isle of Wight (Mr. Ross) on 21 November at col.362. The provision for statutory consultation at designated airports is contained in section 35 of the Civil Aviation Act 1982, and is unaffected by the Airports Act 1986 except for the removal of the exemption of airports managed by BAA. My right hon. Friend designated the airports belonging to BAA plc under the amended section 35 of the 1982 Act on 31 July 1986.
