§ The Prime MinisterThe Crown has ultimate responsibility for the good government of the islands and acts through the Privy Council on the recommendations of Ministers of Her Majesty's Government. By long-standing constitutional convention, the islands legislate for their own domestic affairs, but Her Majesty's Government have responsibility for the defence and the international relations of these dependencies of the Crown. We have no plans to alter the present constitutional relationships.
