§ Mr. WaldegraveWildlife on the United Kingdom coasts and in United Kingdom North sea coastal waters, as elsewhere in the United Kingdom, is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. This Act has strengthened the protection of birds, wild creatures and plants, and also provides for the establishment of marine nature reserves.
