§ Mr. Ashdownasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will publish a table showing, for each licensed nuclear power station that started operating before 1970 (a) the date each reactor started operating, (b) the date each reactor attained, or is expected to attain 20 years operating life, (c) the date the nuclear installtions inspectorate started, or expects to start, work on the 20 year safety review; (d) the date the nuclear installations inspectorate expects to finish work on the 20 year safety review and (e) the date the nuclear installations inspectorate expects to publish a summary of the 20 year safety review.

§ Mr. Ashdownasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement on the progress made by the nuclear installations inspectorate in completing the 20-year safe review of (a) Bradwell and (b) Berkeley nuclear power stations, indenitfying which technical areas of the safety case for each station have not been agreed with the licensee.
§ Mr. GoodladHer Majesty's nuclear installations inspectorate expects to complete its programe of work on the CEGB's long-term review of Bradwell in the early part of next year, with Berkeley following a few months later.
