HL Deb 04 November 1986 vol 481 c1098WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What advice they have given to British volunteer aid workers in Nicaragua now that the US-backed Contras have announced that such workers will henceforth be considered enemy targets.

Baroness Young

British citizens seeking advice from the Government are advised of the dangers and that entry into areas of conflict would be at their own risk. The prime responsibility for the safety of foreign nationals in any country lies with the government of the country concerned.
