§ Mr. Batisteasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will increase the resources made available to the Boundary Commissions so as to enable them to accommodate modern developments in information technology.
§ Mr. MellorThe Parliamentary Boundary Commissions have not so far requested any increase in their resources for this purpose. Any request which might be made in the future would be considered on its merits, taking account of the Government's general desire to ensure that the Parliamentary Boundary Commissions have sufficient resources to comply with their statutory duties.
