§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if he will update to 1986–87 the information on tax break-even points, tax-free income thresholds and tax on the same basis as his reply of 26 July 1985 to the hon. Member for Dunfermline, East (Mr. Brown), Official Report, columns 855–56;
(2) if he will update to 1986–87 the tax thresholds for a single person, married couple without children, married couple with two children and four children on the same basis as appendix C of the 1985 Inland Revenue statistics.
