§ Mr. RidleyI have received representations from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders in support of the change to October in 1987 and from the Motor Agents Association and individual motor traders opposing it. I have made it clear that I am prepared to consider an alternative month to October if the motor industry as a whole now wants this.
