§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many women have been appointed this year to regional health authorities and district health authorities, respectively.
§ Mr. HayhoeI regret that I cannot give the hon. Member all the information she seeks as some is not held centrally. District health authority members are appointed by the appropriate regional health authority and relevant local authorities. The hon. Member may therefore wish to seek this information from the chairman of the regional health authority concerned. Of the current regional health authority members, 56 are women. In addition, 30 district health authority chairmen are women.
