§ Sir David Priceasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will now authorise an increase of 26 police officers in the authorised establishment of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight police force.
§ Mr. Giles ShawMy right hon. Friend is considering, in consultation with Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary and in the light of the specific needs of the force, the application of 29 April 1986 from the Hampshire police authority for an increase of 28 police posts in the authorised establishment of the force. He will reach a decision as soon as the consultations have been completed.
