§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will give for all general manager 380W appointments at unit level known to his Department (a) the name of the general manager, (b) whether that person was previously employed within the same district or elsewhere in the National Health Service or outside the National Health Service, (c) whether that person was previously employed as an administrator, a treasurer, a nurse, a doctor or in some other capacity and (d) that person's salary as general manager;
(2) if he will give for each health district (a) the name of the general manager, (b) whether that person was previously employed within the same district or elsewhere in the National Health Service or outside the National Health Service, (c) whether that person was previously employed as an administrator, treasurer, nurse, doctor or in some other capacity and (d) that person's salary as general manager.
§ Mr. HayhoeGeneral managers are employees of their health authorities and therefore the hon. Member may wish to approach regional health authority chairmen for some of the information he has requested. Salaries currently in payment are on the basis set out in paragraph 12 of annex C of HC(84)13, a copy of which is in the Library. The latest information held centrally about the previous employment of managers is as follows:
