§ Mr. Richard Shepherdasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list the number of times, in each of the last five years, that his Department has acquired the main residence of an individual by a compulsory purchase order, the number of cases, in each of the last five years, referred to the Lands Tribunal, and the average length of time taken to complete an acquisition.
§ Mr. Peter Bottomley[pursuant to his reply, 25 March 1986, c. 418]: The following figures relate to dwellings acquired directly under compulsory purchase orders and to dwellings liable to be purchased compulsorily which owners have required the Department to acquire in advance under the planning blight procedures.
