Mr. John Carlisle

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what finance was made available by his Department for the administration, conference organisation and provision of speakers at Wilton park, Sussex, in the last financial year; and what is his estimate of the cost for 1986–87.

The net cost of the Wilton house conference centre at Steyning, West Sussex, venue for the Wilton park cycle of international conferences is estimated to be £434,160 in 1985–86. The comparable estimated figure for 1986–87 is £441,940.
