Mr. Harrison

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will identify the chairmen of the district health authorities in the Yorkshire regional health authorities appointed or re-appointed from April; if he will state their age on appointment; and what salary or emolument they receive annually for their duties.

Health authority chairmen are not paid a salary but are entitled to receive an honorarium of £10,326 a year or to claim financial loss allowance. They may also claim travel and subsistance allowances. The other information requested on those appointed or reappointed to serve as district health authority chairmen within the Yorkshire regional health authority from 1 April is as follows:
