§ Mr. Norman LamontThe Blue Yeoman radar is an experimental facility at Royal Signals and Radar Establishment at Malvern, which has undergone a major improvement programme over the last two years. It is being used to carry out research into a number of topics relating to advanced radar techniques and systems which will be applicable to future long-range air defence.
462WThe RABIES equipment is being used in conjunction with the Blue Yeoman radar for research into bistatic radar, where the transmitter and receiver are some distance apart. A successful start has recently been made to a trials programme involving aircraft targets.
