asked the Secretary of State for Defence if, in the light of his recent meeting with representatives of interested organisations and companies, he will make a further statement on the extent to which United Kingdom companies awarded strategic defence initiative contracts will be subject to United States export controls on technology in the exploitation of the knowledge they have acquired under such contracts.
