What proposals for deregulation they have submitted to the Commission and Council of the EC.

The European Council agreed in December that priority should be given to action on deregulation in line with views expressed by the United Kingdom Government. It is for the Commission to initiate such action and we have not at this stage submitted any formal proposals to the Commission or the Council.
