asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what financial resources have been available to the Nature Conservancy Council in each year since 1981; and what is their budget for 1986–87.

The grant-in-aid to the Nature Conservancy Council was as follows:

1985–86	22.7

The provision for 1986–87 is £32.1 million subject to the approval of Parliament.
