HC Deb 19 March 1986 vol 94 c242W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what recent representations he has received from the general secretary of the Greater Council for Voluntary Service; what reply he is sending; if there is any action he will be taking; and if he will make a statement.

Sir George Young

The general secretary of the Greater Manchester Council for Voluntary Service has written an open letter to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State about funding of voluntary bodies after abolition. My noble Friend the Minister of State will be replying shortly, and I will place a copy of the correspondence in the Library.
