§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will allocate additional funds to Welsh health authorities for the purpose of introducing a comprehensive workplace cancer screening service throughout Wales.
§ Mr. Mark RobinsonCervical cytology is at present the only population based cancer screening service. It is managed by district health authorities, which decide how the service can be provided most effectively. Four hundred thousand pounds of central funding has been earmarked for the development of cancer screening services in Wales in 1986–87 and we are considering with health authorities how this money should be used.
