§ Mr. WaldenThis institution is not among those empowered to award degrees by Royal Charter or Act of Parliament. Independent further education establishments which cater only for students over 16 are not required to register with this Department and the Department has no statutory control over them. The Government deplores any trade in bogus degrees and proposals for possible action to curtail the activities of operators in this field are under consideration.
