§ Mr. Conwayasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will arrange for the land owned by his Department on the A49 south of Bayston hill, Shrewsbury, to be cleared of gipsies and tidied.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThere are no plans at present to clear this land of gipsies. The situation could be reconsidered if an authorised gipsy site is established in the area to which they can be moved.
