§ Mr. Corbynasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (1) what representations he has received about human rights in Iran and Iraq with particular reference to people in Kurdistan;
(2) what representations have been made to the Governments of (a) Iran and (b) Iraq about human rights in Kurdistan and about the treatment of Kurds.
§ Mr. EggarWe are always concerned about allegations of human rights violations, including against minority groups, wherever they occur. We have received a number of representations from Amnesty International, and from individuals, about incidents in Kurdistan. We take every suitable opportunity to raise human rights matters with both Governments.
§ Mr. Corbynasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has received from the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees about the standards of life of occupants of refugee camps for Kurdish people in Iran and Iraq.
