§ Mr. Humeasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on his policy on the provision of renal services with particular reference to the question of satellite dialysis units in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. NeedhamThe Government wish to see renal services in Northern Ireland improved and I was pleased recently to be able to announce the allocation of additional funds for 1986–87 which will enable the expansion of dialysis and transplant services. I intend to announce shortly specific targets for the development of services for patients suffering from end stage renal failure including plans for the provision of a satellite dialysis unit in the area of the Western health and social services board.
