Mr. Weetch

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, further to the answer of 20 December, Official Report,column 420, he will give the average amount of dental charges remitted on form F1D, in money terms, and the percentage that fell within the following or other convenient ranges of charges: (a) £0–£5.99, (b) £6.00–£49.99, (c) £10.00–£14.99, (d) £15.00–£29.99, (e) £30.00–£49.99 and (f) over £50.00.

[pursuant to ate reply, 5 March 1986, c. 149]: In 1984 the average amount of dental charges remitted in England and Wales where remission was successfully claimed on form FID was £27. The percentages of successful claims falling within the ranges of which information is available, were as follows:
