§ Mr. McNamaraasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give details of the number of prisoners in prison in Northern Ireland as at 31 December 1984 and 1985, detailing the numbers by sex, in prison and in young offenders centres separately.
§ Mr. ScottOn 30 December 1984 and 29 December 1985 there were 2,038 and 1,861 prisoners, respectively, in Northern Ireland prison establishments. These figures include remand prisoners.
