§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe Welsh Development Agency provides grant aid to tourist-related projects through its land reclamation and environmental improvement activities. The agency has approved the following expenditure on tourist-related land reclamation and environmental improvement projects since 1981:
£ 1981 278,000 1982 2,322,000 1983 2,316,000 1984 183,000 1985 908,000 The agency looks to the Wales tourist board to take the lead in identifying specific tourism development opportunities and is prepared to consider investing in viable tourist-related projects on a commercial basis.
