§ Mr. LangWork permits for training in telecommunications would be issued only under the training and work experience scheme. No work permits were issued to Libyan citizens in this category in 1985 or 1983. Three permits were issued in 1984 but statistics for that year do not specify what sort of training was involved. We also authorise industrial attachments required by sandwich courses, but statistics are not kept of the nationality of students or the type of training undertaken.
