§ Mr. Hindasked the Minister for the Arts if he will give details of the latest proposals for financing the Liverpool philharmonic hall and Royal Liverpool philharmonic orchestra through the Arts Council and Arts and Libraries Office.

The additional grant of £137,500 which the Arts Council will make available to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society will come from the £25 million in post-abolition funding which the Government are providing for the council.
