asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the Lindop report, Cmnd. 9501, "Academic Validation in Public Sector Higher Education".

Mr. Stern

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he expects to announce his proposals in the light of the Lindop report on the review of public sector course validation.

I hope to announce the Government's conclusion following their consideration of the Lindop committee's report shortly.
