§ Mr. David MitchellThe transport users' consultative committees for north-eastern and north-western England have, in accordance with provisions in section 56 of the Transport Act 1962, held public hearings into the British Railways Board's closure proposal. I understand that the TUCCs expect to be able to submit a joint report to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State later this year.
