§ 56. Mr. Powleyasked the Minister for the Arts if he will make a statement on the operation of the revised formula for indemnity to galleries which regularly lend works of art for exhibition without requiring commercial insurance by the borrower.
§ Mr. LuceI am happy to say that agreement has been reached on a revised formulation of the arrangements for considering compensation in the event of items on loan which are lost or damaged. I understand that in consequence those national galleries which have been reluctant to lend to local museums are now willing to resume the practice.
