§ Sir Geoffrey HoweWe maintain close contact with moderate Arab states. Already this year we have had ministerial meetings with 12 such countries. Later this month we hope to have discussions in London with King Hussein of Jordan and Field Marshal Abu Ghazala, the Egyptian Minister of Defence. We shall build on all these contacts during our presidency of the European Community.
