§ Mr. WhitneyWe do not give an annual grant to the Medical Research Council. We have given the MRC support for specific individual projects and commissions for research in important policy areas on an ad hoc basis. In the financial year 1985–86 the total cost of this project support and commissioned research was £255,185.
