Mr. Clay

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the amount of housing investment programme bids for each council in the northern region; and what was the amount of allocation for each authority for each year since 1979.

The housing investment programme bids and allocations for each local authority in the northern region since 1979 are as follows. Local authorities may also supplement their housing investment programmes by using the prescribed proportion of capital receipts.

All figures are on a case basis except the following:
