§ Mr. Aspinwallasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many local education authorities have still failed to take up resources made available under the Education, Grants and Awards Act 1984, for the supervision of school meals.
§ Mr. DunnOut of 97 LEAs in England, only 11 have so far made no bid for education support grant resources for midday supervision. All these authorities have indicated informally that they expect to submit bids shortly. One authority has withdrawn its bid.
