§ Mr. Cartwright
asked the Secretary of State for Transport how many properties have been served with (a) compulsory purchase orders or (b) blight notices as a consequence of improvements to the north circular road proposed by his Department; what estimate he has of their net market value; and how many are already owned by his Department.
§ Mr. Peter Bottomley
Six hundred and ninety two properties are currently included in draft compulsory orders relating to proposed improvements or extensions to the north circular road and a further 197 are the subject of made orders. The Department owns 857 properties required for these improvements, nearly all of which were acquired on acceptance of blight notices.519W
