HC Deb 25 July 1986 vol 102 cc598-9W
Mr. Thurnham

asked the Paymaster General if he has received representations on the extent to which the composition and terms of reference of the construction industry training hoard adequately reflect the effect of new technologies on the industry; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Trippier

No recent representations of this kind have been received. The functions and powers of the construction industry training hoard, as of other industry training boards, are laid down in the Industrial Training Act 1982. The board is due for reconstitution in 1988, and Ministers will review its composition to ensure that, so far as possible, the board continues to be fully representative of the industry.
