asked the Attorney-General how many prosecutions have been brought under the Race Relations Act 1976; and how many have been successful.

Thirty-five prosecutions have been brought under section 5A of the Public Order Act 1936, inserted by section 70 of the Race Relations Act 1976. In 25 of these cases convictions have been secured.
