HC Deb 24 July 1986 vol 102 c475W
Mr. Michael Forsyth

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps he has taken to satisfy himself that the Crown Estates Commissioners have met their obligations in respect of the land left to them by the late Colonel McEwan in the village of Kippen; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. MacGregor

The title arising from this bequest by the late Colonel McEwan contained no restrictions on the future management of the estate. I am satisfied that the Crown Estate Commissioners have met their obligations in their management of the land.
