§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will write to every local housing authority in Wales to ask them to review all the existing unimplemented planning permissions in their areas and to discuss with representatives of elderly persons, disabled persons, single homeless persons, the house building industry, social service departments and land owners the content of this review with a view to planning the construction of new houses, sheltered houses and flats to meet the needs of these people and to report back to him by 31 December.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsLocal authorities have already been asked to submit housing strategy and investment programmes for the next financial year based on their assessments of housing need. Copies of the programmes will, as usual, be placed in the House of Commons Library as soon as possible after the recess.
