§ Mr. Altonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what standards or minimum requirements currently exist in Northern Ireland covering the use of bed and breakfast accommodation and hostel accommodation; and whose duty it is to inspect and regulate the standards.
§ Mr. NeedhamThe requirements covering the use of bed and breakfast accommodation are set out in Statutory Rules and Orders of Northern Ireland 1953 — No. 24 made under the Development of Tourist Traffic Act (Northern Ireland) 1948. It is the duty of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board to inspect tourist accommodation and to regulate standards.
